I was out running some errands and stopped at my local JD dealer to check on implement prices and what they had to offer. The salesman stated that JD is going to offer lower cost implements in the near future (month or so) with a, I believe, Frontier branding. Has anyone else heard rumor of this???

Trae, I spoke with one of the JD dealers in my area and he said that they are just beginning to receive information about the offerings. I appears as though JD will sell Woods implements with the Frontier branding with the same list price as Woods. The determining factor will be how much the dealer expects to sell during the next year (begins on Aug 1st). So, the higher the volume of the local dealer, the deeper they can discount. This is based on what the dealer thinks they may sell. I would hate to be a dealer trying to guess what his sales are to be for the next year. Looks like the best thing to do is talk to your local JD and Woods dealer to see who can give you the best price. ....

I understand that Deere has an agreement with Landpride to produce implements which will comply with ASAE standards. Therefore, the mounting of the Frontier 3PH attachments will be uniform and interchangeable by category. Colors will be JD Green with Tan & Black trim.

Thats the first time I've ever heard the name WOODS and low cost in the same sentence. They are high quality but they sure ain't low cost!! ....
